Sync for Science (S4S) Pilot Awarded 

Sync for Science (S4S) graphicOne of two programs based in the HMS Department of Biomedical Informatics announced on February 25 at the White House PMI Summit (along with the Patient-Empowered Precision Medicine Alliance), the BD2K PIC-SURE S4S team, led by Josh Mandel, will work in partnership with the NIH PMI Leadership, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) and representatives from national EHR Vendors to (1) Develop methods to facilitate individually-controlled clinical data donations to the PMI Cohorts and (2) Accelerate and guide the national ecosystem for patient-mediated data access through APIs.  The initial focus of the S4S pilot will be a core data set that includes medications, problem lists, and demographics as defined in ONC's Common Clinical Data Set definitions.

NHANES query app graphicAs announced at the November 2015 BD2K All Hands Meeting at the NIH's Natcher Center, PIC-SURE is pleased to introduce two new APIs and a user-friendly query app for full access to the CDC's NHANES (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) data set.
